| The Emerald Pointe Ladies Golf League played
eighteen holes of golf with a weekly event
on Tuesdays at Silverado
Golf Club. Several of our regular golfers from 2008 season were
unable to participate this season due to injuries and health conditions
and we hope that they will be able to join us in the fall of 2009 and
winter of 2010. Each week there was an event of the day and everyone
put money in a "Chip In Pot" which was awarded whenever one or more
players had a chip in during any week's round of golf. After golf conversation, refreshments, and prizes gave us a little time together as a large group. Our tee time this season was great as we didn't have to deal with the very early morning cold weather and if my memory serves me right we were rained out only once. March 11, the group went to Mimi's Cafe in Lakeland for a luncheon, conversation, and some even did some shopping at the shopping mall there. We will continue to golf through April even though we know some of our group will be returning to their summer homes. If you did not join us this year, please consider golfing with us next year as we are a group that enjoys golf and we just enjoy being on the course and trying to improve our game no matter whether we are a relatively new golfer or a seasoned golfer.
