Our Celebration Garden Under Construction
I would like to encourage people to participate.
I have been asked how can I participate in the garden. You can participate
by making a donation in any amount and for anyone or anything. For
suggestions: A flower for the garden is about $10.00, a bag of fertilizer
is about $5.00, a bag of mulch (of which I need approximately 20-30 bags) is
2 for about $6.00, a tree is $200, a load of bricks is $85. You might also
want to know that I will send a notice to the person that the donation is
made for: Just for example - I could use anyone's name: I received a
donation from an owner for Tom Barbian and
Charlie Carter, I notified Bernice and Beverly that a donation was
made in their names. People have asked how much should we give: My answer
is to give from your heart. If you are giving in memory of someone that may
be one thing, but if you are just giving because you want the garden to be
pretty that is another. I have received donations from $10 to $100.
Another way to participate is to come down to the garden and help. This
is an Emerald Pointe project made on common ground and for everyone to
use. You can carry bricks, you can rake (bring yours), you can help plant
flowers when we get that far (bring your shovel), you can redo some of the
outer wall that has some problems since the monsoon rains, or you can move
some dirt up around the back of the
storage building that
used to be the gazebo or screen room (again, bring your shovel).
I have also been asked - who can we recognize. You can recognize
anyone......anything! Maybe your pet, your parents, your best friend,
your grandparents or grandchildren (maybe for Valentines Day), anyone who
is special to you or maybe a member of the EP Property Owners who may have
passed. There will be a plaque of all those who have passed and were
current members of the EPPOA in the clubhouse for remembrance. The
garden is called the Celebration Garden and we can celebrate the life of
anyone - or any event - or any idea you have. How about your 50th
anniversary with a plant in the garden or a tree.
I hope that everyone will take a walk to the garden and sit on a bench and
remember the beauty that God has created and enjoy watching the birds, the
blue sky, and the clouds roll by.
Thanks to everyone! Judy Allen |
